Monday's are hard for Molly because her most beloved is gone to work after the weekend - when our walk takes us near the road she seems to listen and look for his car.

 Vanilla for next year, and the reason for the trip to the liquor mart yesterday (usually I make it with bourbon, but had to try a few new flavours this year).

 Another sign of the times - no US liquor for sale in the province.

 Snowy day today (-4ºC).

 Every morning when we go for a walk Molly rolls on some hard snow, she is running out of areas.

The snow is really melting.

Not much left on the surrounding fields.

We get to see how busy the voles were over the winter with all the trails through the snow.

 The bee hives were checked on today, and the strong hives from last year seem fine (some food was given to help the bees - honey bees aren't native to Canada, so our winter can be hard).

 We are supposed to be walking, instead she was rolling in the small bit of fresh snow.

 I am sure Molly wonders why it takes so long to get ready to go for a walk in the morning - Ginger$nap! needs some play time (getting layers on for winter doesn't help).

An "Alberta Clipper" came through today. This morning was a calm -3ºC,

 and later in the day it felt like -20ºC, with snow blowing sideways.

 The snow has really melted and much of the old tractor is now visible, making a good spot for Miss Maggie to sit in the sun.

 Watched three nephews and a niece play in a memorial hockey tournament today.

 I left the house for the first time in over a week, and things really look different - not much snow left.

 No wind this morning, so she kept stopping to listen all the sounds.
