Stained glass day today - I have been wanting to make a piece with a Mackintosh rose for a while (this piece is inspired by lots of pieces I have seen online, using supplies I have. I am trying to use up what I have).

Today I planted up all the garden plants I had put into storage for the winter - Canna Lilies, Geraniums, and Sweet Potato Vine. This is the first time I have tried this, and I am hoping for the best. Gardening season is well underway...

... hard to imagine because we woke up to this!

The first five of what will be 60 small paintings for this year - they are lots of fun, but I am limiting myself to no more than two a week to make the project last all year long. They are about 2" x 3".

Today I organized quilt blocks ready to sew together. This is a project I only work on at a monthly get together, and I have been sewing blocks for over two years, it won't be finished any time soon which is fine with me. 5" Broken Dishes blocks.

Almost finished weaving new tea towels.

My take along knitting project (car knitting) - a Musselburgh Hat, out of handspun yarn that has been a few other things.

I haven't finished my year long cross stitch project yet, but I am working on this one too.

Working on my third Ranunculus sweater (such a good, versatile pattern), this one out of hand dyed, hand spun Optim Merino that feels just like soft cotton.

Frost and ice on the flooded yard. This ends the week of close up pictures. There has been a week of sunrises, and one of GingerSnap!, what's next?

Signs of melting.

Thanksgiving Cactus blooming again (the north facing window ledge is cold, which encourages the blooms).

Serious stuff when a muzzle is involved - nail clipping day (it involves all four of us, a tractor and a harness, takes less than a couple of minutes now).

 Threading heddles today.

Fluffy fresh snow on everything this morning.

A thin layer of pebbly ice over everything this morning.

His favourite lap to sleep on.

Sometimes it can be hard to believe that this cutie can be a terror.

Something outside must be very interesting for Miss Maggie to choose to get so close to GingerSnap!.

GingerSnap! seems to have taken over Miss Maggie's spot in the window (she isn't too happy about it and keeps glaring at him).

I'm glad we bought a whole case of apples so each cat can have their own big box.
